Glimbill is the beloved hound of the Draemere royal family, a familiar sight within the halls of Draemer Town and its ancient castle. Though neither fierce warhound nor noble hunting beast, Glimbill has nonetheless earned a place of deep affection among servants, guards, nobles, and townsfolk alike.
He is perhaps best known throughout the Clay Lands as the dog who fears the rain. Even the faintest drizzle is enough to send the great hound scrambling for shelter, much to the amusement of those around him. Rarely is he seen outdoors without his carefully tailored coat, fastened snugly about his broad frame by attentive servants who long ago accepted the absurdity of dressing a royal dog for poor weather.
Adding further to his reputation are the twin pillars of drool that perpetually hang from his jowls—an unavoidable feature of Glimbill’s otherwise dignified presence. Courtiers have learned to step carefully around him, particularly when he grows excited, for few garments survive an encounter entirely unmarked.
Yet despite his bedraggled appearance and comical fears, Glimbill remains adored throughout the castle. Children climb over him freely, weary guards scratch behind his ears after long watches, and even stern nobles have been known to soften at the sight of the old hound snoring beside a hearthfire.
In a royal court increasingly shadowed by grief, politics, and looming war, Glimbill endures as something rare and comforting: a simple reminder that loyalty and affection often matter far more than grandeur.
