PRINCE ARBYR DRAEMERE

The Prince of Draemer · The White Fox

Arbyr is the fourth son of the Draemere king—a quiet and reluctant prince who lingers far from the centre of courtly ambition. Unlike other princes, he neither seeks glory nor desires the burdens of rule. Yet throughout the Clay Lands, whispers surround him all the same.

Arbyr bears the likeness of the White Fox, the mythical creature long associated with guidance, prosperity, and the shaping of destiny itself. According to ancient Draemere legend, it was a White Fox that led Braenor the Mason King to the land upon which Draemere was founded, heralding the rise of a prosperous kingdom. To resemble such a creature is considered exceedingly rare—and by many, deeply prophetic.

For much of his life, Arbyr has rejected such expectations, retreating instead into the shadows of royal life. He avoids ceremony, speaks little of prophecy, and shows open discomfort whenever comparisons are drawn between himself and the sacred beast. Some believe this reluctance stems from humility. Others fear it is dread.

Yet as the ravenous ambitions of empire spread ever deeper into the Clay Lands, the people have begun to look towards the silent prince with growing fascination. Villages whisper his name beside hearthfires. Soldiers speak of him quietly in taverns. Even nobles have begun to wonder whether the old legends are stirring once more.

For in times of fear and uncertainty, people are often eager to believe that something—or someone—was destined to guide them through the dark.
