ALBAIN

The Mysterylands · Home of myth

Albain is a continent shrouded in mystery—steeped in magic, ancient history, and an uneasy tapestry of peoples and kingdoms. Vast and little understood by outsiders, it is a land where forgotten powers linger and old rivalries continue to shape the fate of realms.

To the east dwell the Dajeian Tokot, towering and enigmatic overlords of the Five Realms of Nokondo. Both spiritual and imperial in nature, the Tokot rule with immense authority, their presence inspiring reverence as readily as fear. Little is known of their inner customs, though tales portray them as beings of immense wisdom, ritual, and martial might.

Linking the Tokot realms to the Traysians of New Traysis is the immense span known as the Giant’s Bridge—a colossal natural formation regarded as one of the wonders of the world. The bridge is inhabited by the elusive Boulder Folk, gentle and reclusive giants whose size and strength surpass that of ordinary men. Though slow to anger, they are said to possess terrifying power when roused, their patience rivalled only by the mountains themselves.

Far to the north lie the fractured Marcati Isles, lands scarred by memory, division, and endless war. Once united beneath a single banner, the Marcati are now split between two bitter rivals: the Black Cat Royalists and the Queen’s Loyalists, each claiming rightful sovereignty and a different vision for the future of the isles.

From this conflict emerged the people known as the Dajeian Mirakatz. Descended from Marcati exiles who fled westward into Tokot territory, they swore fealty to the Dajeians and forged a new identity from hardship and survival. Blending Marcati discipline with Dajeian strength and tradition, the Mirakatz became a hardened warrior people—defined by mixed blood, fused customs, and sharpened steel.
