Chen Pui Droz is Mernic for Dog Head Isle. Within the dense jungles of this otherwise rocky land, the Dog Heads reside—a strange people known for their beast-like appearance and fierce devotion to a god few outsiders understand.
When Nelso first came upon this people, he was initially welcomed. He traded with them and attempted to communicate through gesture, patience, and offerings. All seemed peaceful—until word of the visitors reached their god, described by some as a cat-headed being cloaked in shadows.
The mood shifted. Hostility replaced hospitality, and Nelso and his crew were driven back to the shore, losing several men in the chaos.
Years later, the explorer Avgardi received a similar fate. He, along with most of his crew, never returned home. Only a handful survived—crazed by their experience, babbling half-sensical tales of jungle rituals, cat-gods, and Dog Heads who walk like men but bark in mourning.
