Haflan Draemere is the eldest child of King Jonlan and Queen Myra, and the heir apparent to the throne of the Clay Lands. Much like his father before him, Haflan is widely regarded as a man of steady character—strong without cruelty, capable without arrogance, and kind without weakness.

Named after his grandfather, King Haflan the Second, the prince inherited not only the old king’s name, but also the expectations that came with it. The recent death of the elder monarch thrust Haflan more fully into the role of Prince-Heir, a burden he has accepted with quiet dignity rather than ambition or pride.
