Their creation is a secret guarded jealously by the Ardulai, the Empire’s symbiotic faith, and entrusted only to the highest ranks of their order—the enigmatic High Corynths.

Among the common folk, darker rumours persist. It is whispered that the deaths of emperors’ firstborn children often coincide with the sudden appearance of newborn wyverns. Officially, such tales are dismissed as superstition and slander—petty rumours spread by fearful minds and enemies of the Empire.
