The Giant’s Bridge takes its name from both the colossal land span itself and the towering beings who call it home. Stretching across the waters that divide the two great mainlands of Albain, the Bridge serves as a natural connection between distant realms, its rocky expanse weathered by endless winds and ancient time.

The region is inhabited by the immense Boulder People, a race of gigantic beings whose true height remains uncertain. Even the smallest among them stand at least twice the height of an average man, while stories persist of elders far larger still. Their tremendous size, combined with their quiet and reclusive nature, has made them figures of awe throughout Albain.

Despite their physical scale, the Boulder People occupy one of the smallest realms on the continent. This limited territory poses little challenge to them, however, as their birth rate is exceptionally slow and their population correspondingly modest. Their settlements remain sparse and carefully maintained, scattered across a landscape of broken stone and jagged rock formations that appear as though the earth itself had once been violently churned by divine hands.

The Boulder People possess little interest in conquest or territorial expansion. Instead, they value solitude, stability, and the harsh beauty of their homeland. Their lives are shaped by the endless winds sweeping across the Bridge and by the comfort of the vast halls they carve directly into stone cliffs and mountainsides.

Among their most celebrated landmarks is the Great Arch of Kra Guun, an enormous limestone formation sculpted naturally over countless ages. Revered for both its grandeur and symbolism, the arch became a place of diplomacy as well as wonder. It was beneath this monumental structure that the third great peace treaty between the Boulder People and the Dajeian Realms was formally signed, marking the end of one of Albain’s longest-running regional conflicts.
